The year 2008 has been a very wonderful year to me. Naks, ayos sa intro. Haha! Seriously, madaming blessings na dumating at madami ding lessons na natutunan. Kaya marami akong kelangan ipagpasalamat.

Thank you Lord for my health and also my family’s. Walang naaksidente, walang naospital. Ang pinakamalala lang ay sipon, ubo at fungal infections.

Speaking of family, salamat sa support at love na binigay nila sa akin. Hindi ko matatamo ang tagumpay kung hindi dahil sa kanila. Feeling successful. haha

Thank you Lord for my friends. Elementary, high school, college,housemates and workplace friends. Salamat sa pag-intindi sa mga mood swings (kung meron) at sa pagkakuripot (sure ito). Thank you for the friendship and the company. Hindi ko na ieenumerate lahat ng friends ha. Basta thank you.

Thank you din sa Philippines at marami na din akong napuntahan na tourist destinations for the first time ngayong taon. Puerto Galera, Sagada, Cagayan de Oro at Camiguin. Looking forward to visit more and more beautiful places. WOW Philippines ito!

Thank you SMART for my new camera. Haha. Matagal ko na pinapangarap magkaroon ng DSLR at kumuha ng mga bonggang pictures and pursue my longtime hobby.

At higit sa lahat, thank you Lord for giving me one of the greatest gifts and surprises this year, Melanie. It’s very nice to know that there is someone who loves me and someone worth loving. I love you hon! Mwahugs! Ahihihihi... :)

Its more than a month (again) since my last blog post. SO what's keeping me busy? Wala. haha. Tinatamad lang ako gumawa ng blog entry. And I don't want to waste multiply's bandwidth and space for a survey/personality test/which [insert a thing/cartoon character/whatever here] are you? test. So I decided just to keep my mouth shut (or in this case, my mouse pointer away from the create new post link and my hands away from the keyboard. :))

Actually, I'm not that busy when it comes to my work. And I don't want to rant about my work because A.) there's nothing to complain about it (well, minsan. hehe) and B.) my teammates might read it (Hi guys!). So, no blog entry about work. Maybe I can talk about my inspiration while at work, but... nevermind. :D

I've been into a lot of things lately. Some of them are current addictions (don't worry. it's not drugs or something). Some are vacation trips, get togethers and concerts. And I am loving every bit of them.

ADDICTIONS


I'm an addict to some of the tv shows/series lately. Some of them are Lost (I like sci-fi adventure suspense stuff), House (Love the medical cases), The Office (I love the humor and the characters) and American Idol. Speaking of AI, I'm always hearing the usual "Most talented batch ever" line every season. oh c'mon. Season 4 is the best. No one can top that. But I like most of the contestants namely Michael, David C, Brooke and Ramiele.

BTW, I haven't finished those TV series yet even during my DVD marathon last Holy Week. sad. :(

CONCERTS


I have been into three: Loverage during the UP Fair, My Chemical Romance and Maroon 5. Loverage is good because it is free, same with MCR. But we enjoyed Maroon 5 more because I know a lot of their songs. Even though we are in the "dukha" section, we really enjoyed the experience.

GET TOGETHERS/VACATION TRIPS


Lunch and dinner outs are the best ways of catching up to the lives of your long lost friends and batchmates. But out of town trips are the ultimate bonding activity there is. It's my first time in Puerto Galera last March 15-16 and it was a blast! The scenery is beautiful, the activities are exciting and most of all, the people with me are fun to be with. I really had a blast. Too bad we didn't experience the night life. But that's okay. The banana boat, hiking, snorkeling and island hopping were fun anyway.

Well, that's it. So far so good. Hope to have more lakwatsas in the weeks to come. And I will be celebrating my 1st work anniversary next month. So that means one thing: I'm working for a year now (duh!). I also hope to update my blog frequently to improve my blogging/writing skills. I also hope that I can buy an SLR camera and learn photography. So many things to do...so little time. And money.

*gasp!*

After experiencing freedom for two months, the sometimes bored office computer-user when no work is to be done(like moi) meets it's worst enemy (again), the dreaded Surf Control.



This thing/pest is said to be existent on companies where data security and integrity is top priority (like my company. sheeesh). Or they just don't want the employees to waste bandwidth by checking their officemates Friendster/Facebook profile or exchange messages through YM. Or they just don't want the common employees to waste precious bandwidth so that the IT-Sec personnel (that implements the Surf Control) will continue to play DoTA with minimum lag.

Gone are the days of Friendster, Facebook, Youtube, Multiply (gasp!) and YM that we experienced for two months (some say the license for the surf control ended last November). Even the proxies that let's you surf past the surf control is not working.

But they always say, if there's a will, there's a fortune! (corny). I have some tricks up my sleeve, I tell you. You will still continue to see me with an online status in YM. Without the dynamic status message of my currently playing song in my iTunes, of course.

Mga two weeks ago, nagsimula ng magpalabas ng emails yung company namin regarding discounted tix sa concert ng My Chemical Romance dito sa Pilipinas. 10% discount sa bronze tickets. Bale 600 yung orig price, tapos 540 na lang yung babayaran.

Wala yatang bumili kasi sobrang laki ng discount (sarcasm). Kaya para idispatsa yung mga sobrang tickets, ipinamigay na lang nila. haha! Fun diba?

Unahang mag-email ng employee number at name at kung ilang tix (max of two). Wala naman akong balak pumunta talaga, pero whadaheck! Nagbakasakali na rin ako na makakuha ng tickets at maging scalper sa Bonifacio Open Field. Ibebenta ko ng 1k each yung ticket. hehe...

Akalain mong nakapasok ako! Eh malas pa naman ako sa mga unahan unahan. Kaya may dalawa akong tickets ngayon. At nahihirapan ako kung sino ang isasama. Eh bukas mamaya na yun... what to do?

Parang trip kong ipamigay yung tix sa mga street children...para maiba naman. Hehe... adik.

Noong 2007, unang beses kong tumayo sa harap ng panel at magdeliver ng final thesis presentation. Sobrang kaba, pero sobrang fulfilling pagkatapos ng presentation.

Noong 2007, unang beses kong hindi makaranas ng kumpletong tulog for 2-3 weeks. Ang pagtulog ay isang pangarap lamang nung mga panahong iyon...

Noong 2007, unang beses akong grumaduate ng college. Obvious ba? siyempre first and last time lang yun mangyayari. haha!

Noong 2007, unang beses akong hindi nakareceive ng individual award noong graduation. Pero keri lang. Nagkaroon naman kami ng award ng thesismates ko dahil sa thesis namin.

Noong 2007, unang beses kong makaranas ng job interview. Unang beses ko rin inulan ng text messages at mga calls para sa mga job interview at offers.

Noong 2007, unang beses kong napuntahan ang Ortigas at Makati Central Business District para mag-apply ng trabaho at umattend ng mga interviews. Unang beses ko rin nakasira ng leather shoes dahil sa sobrang gamit.

Noong 2007, unang beses kong maligaw sa Makati.

Noong 2007, unang beses kong makaranas ng medical exam at... ayoko ng pag-usapan ang tungkol dun.

Noong 2007, unang beses kong nagkaroon ng trabaho. As in yung legal na trabaho. hindi kasi counted yung assignment/project maker na sideline ko nung high school ako. Hindi rin counted yung pagiging holdaper at snatcher sa may cubao.

Noong 2007, unang beses kong bumili ng mamahaling bagay gamit ang sariling pera. Hihi... feeling mayaman ampota.

Noong 2007, unang beses kong magbirthday na may "something explosive and monumental" na nagaganap (see previous blog post). Pero malas nila, pumalpak sila sa balak nila.

Noong 2007, unang beses kong magregalo sa mga inaanak ko. Moral lesson: huwag akong kuhaning Ninong.

Noong 2007, unang beses kong nag birthday at nag pasko na wala ang Mommy at Daddy ko. huhu... alam kong nababasa niyo ito. Bumalik na kayo sa bahay! huhu...

Noong 2007, unang beses kong narealize na hindi ko tinutupad ang mga New Year's resolution ko. At narealize ko din na malaki sanang pagbabago kung natupad ko ang mga ito.

At ngayong 2008... wala lang. Ewan ko kung matutupad ko yung New Year's Resolution ko. Baka tamarin ulit ako at hindi ko ulit matupad.

Ang totoong dahilan ni Trillanes kung bakit siya pumunta ng Manila Peninsula, isisiwalat na!

Noong Nobyembre 29, 2007, nagulantang ang mga taga-Makati ng biglang sumugod si Sen Antonio Trillanes IV sa Manila Peninsula Hotel mula sa kanyang hearing sa Makati Regional Trial Court. Pero lingid sa kaalaman ng nakararami, hindi pakay ni Trillanes at ang mga kanyang kasamahan na magdaos ng kudeta kundi kailangan lang talaga nila umattend ng isang birthday party sa naturang hotel. Siya daw kasi ay isang panauhing pandangal sa naturang okasyon bagamat hindi sila magkakkilala ng nagdadaos ng kaarawan.



Ngunit akala ni GMA na magdadaos ng kudeta sina Trillanes, kaya ginulo niya ang birthday party ng celebrant. At may regalo pa siyang tangke na nag grand entrance sa pintuan ng hotel, ngunit hindi naman ito ikinatuwa ng management ng hotel, lalong lalo na ng birthday celebrant. Hindi kasi kasya sa garahe.
